Generation Modes
Text-to-video, image-to-video, and extend
KINO supports three ways to create videos.
1. Text-to-Video
Generate a video entirely from your text description. This is the default mode.
Best for:
- Original creative concepts
- Abstract or stylized content
- When you don't have reference imagery
Example prompt:
"A golden retriever running through a sunlit meadow, slow motion, golden hour lighting, cinematic wide shot, shallow depth of field"

2. Image-to-Video
Animate a starting image based on your description. The AI uses your image as the first frame.
Best for:
- Animating photos or artwork
- Maintaining visual consistency
- Product showcases
- Character animations
How to use:
- Click the + button
- Upload or generate a starting image
- Describe how to animate it
- Click Animate
